The textile and clothing industries are beginning to re emerge.

At present, there are about 20 factories in Mozambique's textile and clothing sector, but most of these factories operate on a low capacity basis, only on the basis of orders received.

At the end of the 1980s, there were about 78 textile and garment factories in Mozambique, but the factories were closed, partly because of lack of machinery, and the liberalization of the market means that Mozambique was drowned by cheap textiles from Asia and secondhand clothing from Europe.

The collapse of the clothing factory has resulted in thousands of workers losing their jobs.

Some textile factories, such as Texlom of Ma La and Textafrica of the city of West, have a large number of employees, providing employment for thousands of workers.

The government of Mozambique firmly believes that Mozambique can become a cotton textile producing country. This confidence comes from the 10 year plan of "future symbolism", which was originally planned in 80s. The implementation of the plan will mean that the era of underdevelopment will become a history and a large textile factory will be built in the central city of Mo.

The factory was established under the assistance of East Germany and became the largest textile factory in southern Africa.

But the destruction of war, the cut off of roads and railways at the cheap port of Mo and Kerry Mane port ensured that the factory was not destroyed.

Nuno mapse, coordinator of information and distribution services at the Mozambique Investment Promotion Center, said that in recent years, the state has received a series of proposals for investment in textile and clothing factories.

In particular, in the past two years, the Administrative Committee for accelerating the development of the economic zone has received 6 proposals for the establishment of such factories in the duty-free industrial areas and the special economic zones.

Most of the products produced in these areas have enjoyed great tax benefits.

One possible way out for Mozambique's clothing exports is to allow eligible African countries, including Mozambique, to export a range of goods to the United States in a free and quota free way, according to the African Growth and Opportunity Act (AGOA) adopted in 2000 by the US Congress.

But companies in Mozambique can't take advantage of AGOA.

Last year, Mozambique exported $183 thousand to the US, while other SADC countries exported more than $1 million to the United States.

Differences Between Professional Models And Amateur Models

Choosing a professional model or an amateur model often depends on the budget of the clothing show. In the case of limited budget, amateur models are often used only. For these models, enterprises can offer gifts, discounts or gift coupons as performance returns.
